Learning Tree Development Center

Learning Tree Staff

Each classroom is staffed with a Lead Teacher who has either a 4 year degree or an AA degree and experience.  Assistants in the room have a minimum of a high school diploma and have experience. All employees are at least 16 years of age and have completed a DHS Background Check.

Learning Tree currently has 4 Full Time Teachers who have received comprehensive training in Early Childhood Education.  Our teachers continually enhance their knowledge and experience by taking courses on current trends in child care.  They are responsible for the development of the curriculum, design of the environment, and providing guidance to the children.   In addition to required training, all staff members are trained in First Aid & CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens and Shaken Baby Syndrome.  All Infant Staff is also trained in SIDS.

Learning Tree is fortunate to have other individuals from Normandale Community College participating in our program.  Work Study Students add a unique dimension to our center's program.  These students are under the supervision of a staff member at all times.  Work Study is a form of financial aid that allows students to work up to 20 hours per week.  These students are an important part of our program.  All Work Study Students are expected to participate in every aspect of our program, and have all had a Background Study completed.
